Daud Awang and the team from the Fisheries Research Institute (FRI) Bintawa on being awarded the Junior Chamber International Malaysia (JCI Malaysia) Sustainable Development Awards 2025 for the “Coral Garden of Layang-Layang Island” project. This project successfully revitalized coral reefs in the waters of Layang-Layang Island, simultaneously strengthening the marine ecosystem and supporting environmental sustainability. They are committed to fostering a generation of responsible leaders who care for environmental sustainability and are proud to celebrate efforts aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly in protecting life below water.
